Yes, he did. He was a kid living near the bakery where I buy my bread. I sometimes saw him shirtless in the summer: at his peak, he was about 15 kg “overweight”. Since then, he has become a very tall and lean young man. So, for people worrying about fat kids’ health: it is perfectly possible and even quite easy to lose weight during adolescence and to become an healthy adult.

15 kg "overweight" - that isn't all that much. And it's nothing to worry about at that age.

Yes, 15 kg of fat is no big deal, by today’s standards, and very easy to lose in the teenage years. But that is enough to make the difference between a charmless twig and a 12 yo cutie (when this boy was at his peak).

I think I know EXACTLY what you mean. Plus, 15 kg of fat is not too much - but it still allowed him to be mobile and agile. It's always nice when a little fatty is still able to do all the stuff boys his age usually enjoy.
