Thanks for your comments. It seems that boys get better and better at gaining weight. Covid lockdowns were a disaster, but on the bright side they have helped many chubby boys get fatter faster. Every cloud has a silver lining :-)

I will also say, your pics inspired something in me. The other day I was driving through a suburban area and I saw a shirtless, chubby boy leaning into a minivan. I stopped after passing the house and debated whether I should back up to watch him. I figured it'd get me weird looks, so I pulled into where I was going instead, and walked around just to try and watch him. But when I did, he was gone. :( First time in my life I've ever felt that way though.

I have statistics only for England thanks to its National Child Measurement Programme. And they are mind-blowing, especially for boys. The data have been collected every schoolyear since 2006 for kids in reception (6 yo) and kids in year 6 (11 yo). From the very beginning, boys have been significantly fatter than girls. The gap has continued to widen over the years, with boys fattening up faster than girls. Lockdowns have further accentuated this trend, in a spectacular way. In 2019-2020, 14.2 % boys were overweight, 23.6 % obese (among which 5.6 % severely obese), that is 37.8 % overweight and obese combined, compared to 14.1 % overweight girls and 18.4 % obese girls (among which 3.70 % severely obese), that is 32.5 % overweight and obese combined. Here is the data for 2020-2021. Boys: 15.5 % overweight, 29.2 % obese, among which 7.7 % severely obese, 44.7 % overweight and obese combined. Therefore, and fortunately, chubby boys don't have to wear bras and hopefully never will, so that we can admire their nice boobies.
